The Chilean Flamingo has a light pink plumage, and stands at an average three and half feet tall. Flamingos feed with their head upside down with their beaks tipped – they have an inherent comb-like filter system in their beak that allows them to catch the microorganisms that make up an important part of their diet.
The Welsh Mountain Zoo is a zoological garden located near the town of Colwyn Bay in Conwy County Borough, Wales. The zoo was opened on 18 May 1963 by the enthusiastic naturist Robert Jackson. The zoo covers an area of 37 acres (15 ha).
2006 - The arrival of a pair of endangered snow leopards and the breeding of the very first Bactrian camel in Wales followed. Caracaras have now been placed in the old condor aviary. Margay are another recent addition to the collection.
The zoo's next development project is the construction of a new tropical house for reptiles and new alligator facilities. Work began in 2007 with the demolition of the old tortoise and cactus house. Money has been raised through charitable donations yet the plan to build the new tropical were scrapped officially in 2021.

Shelsley Walsh, Worcestershire, England, United Kingdom, on Saturday 3rd June 2023.
About the photograph.
The man with the baseball cap, I’ve no idea who he is, he could be a family member of the driver, or the driver’s mechanic, or anything like that. Here, he is making final checks to the car, including the steering wheel, cockpit, and stuff, plus having a quick chat with the driver, before the car moves forwards to the starting line.
The driver is Jack Cottrill from Upton Snodsbury in Worcestershire. Here he is getting ready, while in his Dallara Cosworth open-wheel, single-seat race car with 2650cc engine.
The programme guide only said the car is Dallara Cosworth, but did not state which model.
Dallara Group S.r.l. is a largest multi-national Italian race car manufacturer. It was founded by Diampaolo Dallara. It had designed and built some cars for various motorsport events, including Formula 1.
About Shelsley Walsh.
Shelsley Walsh is a motorsports speed hill climb track in Worcestershire, and organised by the Midland Automobile Club (MAC).
It is one of the oldest motorsports event, having started in 1905, and held events every year, except for the two World Wars.
It is also a notably steep course by today’s hill climb standards, rising 328ft / 100m over its 1000 yards / 914 metres length.
The track and course do not belong to MAC, it is leased from the local landowner. The original lease ran for 99 years, and in 2005, a new lease was signed for the next 99 years.
