I've walked passed these buildings many times, but today... today I looked up.
We went out for a drive after dinner the other night as there was a huge storm happening. However the lightning seemed to come from a million different angles and was difficult to pinpoint. So I ended up going out and practicing my night time photography as I'm still a bit of a noob in that area.

the predecessor of modern almanacs is the laird and lee's question settler handbook of the early 1900's. it contains information about common everyday subjects to more substantial matters. the handbook, or more commonly called vestbook in those days, in the image is from 1926. scanned the book for any information about the 1918 spanish flu but didn't find any. however, it contained information about the history of world war 1.

Reason number 434686854 why I like visiting my parent's house : they have random stuff like this lying around the house! I'm back 'home' now for the weekend looking after my sister and keeping an eye on my brother while my parents are away. It means I get two extra days with Louis too yay!
We went to visit a preschool this morning, and I loved it, Im so pleased. We'd visited some earlier in the year and it put me right off, but this one I feel at peace with. I can't believe how old he is getting so quickly though, it's scary.

This bird is in non-breeding plumage. In breeding plumage, their faces get a white feathered border around red facial skin that goes from their bills around their eyes. Not my best shot. I was hanging out the car window shooting back towards the bird... car running, bird moving, me moving... oh well, it's a bird!

It was sunny and beautiful but cold on Saturday. I took the opportunity to ride with Mr. Dee Dee around the corner to get the tires aired up. Longer rides will have to wait until the weather warms up a bit more. This is a motorcycle clock I got him for Xmas. It's very nicely made. I got it from the nice people at www.clocks4bikes.com

well, this one is silly, and shitty, and totally no meaningful.. but why everything has to be meaningful?
I feel empty today.
confession: sometimes the idea that I have to take a good picture everyday really make me stressed. it's like people expect good things from me, but I hardly ever like my shots. I feel under pressure.
at least purple is my favourite color :)

I was hoping it'd pour outside for a while so I could run around in the rain but just as I had carefully set up my camera, the sun came out!! Alas, the shower was the next best option :P
