Three battery powered fake candles against the wall.
Each is set to a different glow color.
These bins, as binoculars are popularly known among birders, are focused on an American Goldfinch--not a real bird, of course, but a realistic plastic model.

Sadly my original Artists Mannequin, John, came to a sorry end after my La Sardinia shot. This yet unnamed impostor - is definitely NO John. His proportions are all wrong, (long ape like arms) he doesn't have the grace nor charm of his predecessor.
John is gone, i am sad - name this newbie if you must.

Yet another wet gloomy day, so I've messed about to create a bit of imagined sunshine :))
This is also for #60 "Macro of a Household Object" for the 365 Don't Stop Me Now Treasure Hunt.
Also for #30 "Kitchen Utensil" of the 114 pictures in 2014 scavenger hunt.
"Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life." - Pablo Picasso
Day 28: Okay, so I don't normally have my shot of the day done by 9:30am (or even 9:30pm for that matter), but today I need to tackle a bunch of errands. I have my father visiting, a rare event, from Florida in a few days, and I need to convert my home office into a guest room. That means decluttering, cleaning, and more. Now, I wish old Picasso's words were applicable to household dust. I'd get to enjoy doing something creative, and all the dust that's gathered on my bookshelf would simply disappear. Unfortunately, good old-fashioned elbow grease is in order. That's only the beginning of the things I need to do, but I won't bore you any further with the details. Day 28, you are the weakest link...goodbye! : )
Afraid these will be my go-to pics when the inspiration runs low.
This red-headed woodpecker is not eating tuna. I originally made a pine cone bird feeder but the deer stole it. So I sprinkled bird seed on the railing but the birds knocked it all about and onto the ground which put the birds at feral cat risk. So we weighed down a cleaned tuna fish can (no --- the cats won't be drawn to that - LOL) and put the bird seed in it. so far it has been working well

Couldn't think of anyone I'd rather do this with than someone who shares my love of Disney (and a brain at times)! Thanks for asking to do this pic, Soft! ♥ You can find hers here.
I get tired of self-portraits honestly, but since being in this beard "contest", I don't have much time for other photographs. There was a time when all I could do was take pictures of myself ... now, I'm just tired of myself.
I do have some ideas brewing (that I can't use or do on Whiskerino), so keep your eyes peeled.

The Red Scooter
Today I sold my father's red scooter. He only got to ride 46 kilometers on it.

I heard a wolf howling in the woods behind my house. I'm thinking it looks like a full moon out tonight.

ODC - perhaps too many drinks have affected your vision?

This was a great starter project for me to experiment working with layers in photoshop. I can't wait to try it with more complex subjects. With time I know I can get better, just need lots more practice.
it had been at least a week since we'd been to the beach, a place the two of us feel most at home.
