Daughter in b&w

I am my mother's savage daughter

The one who runs barefoot

Cursing sharp stones

I am my mother's savage daughter

I will not cut my hair

I will not lower my voice...

Another sneak peek of a part of my new project, which will hopefully be open next week(end). I can't wait to share it with you! 💗

See it's not ALWAYS trees!

It is raining here on and off today...finally!!! I have been waiting to be stuck in the house so i can finish some ornaments and tidy up and wrap some presents!

i stayed up too late last night and then woke too early. Because it was dark and dismal out there, i think i was blessed that Bubba let me sleep in without speaking to me in his relentless cat voice for breakfast to appear in his bowl! He slept on top of me...pinning me to the bed, so i closed my eyes and slept some more. Cats, for those of you unfamiliar are usually relentless when it comes to feeding time...but they are cozy warm critters leading to a slowing of your breathing and a signal to your brain to relax...step back...slow down and take advantage of the cozy!

They do to my brain what the ocean does to my soul.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I am on Roscoe and Daisy duty as my daughter and family do their version of Christmas with Russ’ family in Fredericksburg. That being said i hope to accomplish finishing my tree ornaments and wrapping some gifts! :)

My daughter Sarah.

My son didn't have school today (snow day) and we didn't have a sitter, so I stayed home. Then my daughter started getting sick and running a fever. This is about the only time she'll hold still long enough to get a picture.

She forgets

that even without a single human to turn to

she is still

a daughter of Earth

and she can always

turn to Her.

Kind of scary when you take pics of your Kids and see them as a child yet in the picture you can see them as much older sometimes-how do you stop them growing up :-) :-)

This will probably be my only upload before Christmas (been crazy busy lately with little flickr time),so have a very good Christmas all.

For an art-project at school my daughter got this huge "model", its standing in the living room (for how long..........;-))

Anyway, she got downstairs this morning, and she is her usual grumpy self, I was taking pics of the doll, and she hugged it!

Quite like the compo, lol!

When Atlas was punished to bear the heavens on his shoulders, his seven daughters with Pleione - Asterope, Electra, Merope, Maia, Celaeno, Taygeta, and Alcyone – started to be pursued by the hunter Orion, who had fell in love with them and their mother. In pity of their suffering, Zeus first turned them into doves and then into stars, to protect them from the Orion’s advances who, it is said, still pursues them across the sky.

Known from, at least, the Bronze Age, the Pleiades star cluster an hallmark and leitmotiv for mythologies across several civilizations and they were/are also known as Soraya (old Persia) or Subaru (Japan).

The Pleiades is an open cluster with about 1,000 stars at about 440 light years but only the brightest are visible at naked eye, even in light polluted skies; but in a dark sky and viewed through binoculars it is a truly amazing sight. They will be gravitationally bound for another 250 million and by then it will disperse in Orion’s constellation.

This is my 13 year old daughter. She has had really bad eye infections over the past few days, but I managed to get her to sit and let me take a couple of shots of her!!

This is my 14 year old daughter given the I'm not smiling look, and how I'm fed up with you taking my picture!!

I'm not sure if they really are but they seem like mother and daughter.
