Climb out of your car on the road down to Kilmalieu and sample the complete stillness and quiet of the landscape. I went to see the goats but only spotted three high up on the coastal edge. And I wasn't going up there to get closer. No, I was just enjoying the Sunday afternoon pootle down the road. Mind I decided on the way back that next time I'll pick up the revs a bit and swing through the bends on the A861 through Glen Tarbert and record it with music on the dashcam to show you how wonderful driving in the Highlands can be.
The Cima Fire covered more than 43,000 acres. This forest has not even begun to grow back due to desert conditions.

- HOLIDAYS: ENJOY no pressure and be creative☺☺!
I got a photo of this one off my dashcam early last year and I've seen it around once or twice since then. Was pleased to finally catch up with it in a car park, although my camera didn't like the weather and it turns out I still don't have decent photos.......
Storm is coming ...

On Wednesday we had a very nasty storm sweep through. Here is a dashcam snapshot of a big lightning bolt. We saw a few of those. Sadly the quality isn't the greatest!
The tavern was built to attract some of the tourist trade coming to the area to see the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace. The cabin was moved to the site to show the kind of dwelling which the Lincolns lived during their residence at Knob Creek Farm.
A better pic of the Santana I uploaded a dashcam image of. This does look to have replaced the US spec VW Quantum which is no longer on the DVLA site unfortunately.
Original VW dealer plate on the rear of this, showing T. Haysldean LTD (Barnsley, Wath, Doncaster) as the supplying dealer. They're still selling VWs in Doncaster, not sure about Barnsley or Wath.
I see the car as my tripod allowing me to photograph things as we pass them. Once home, I review the videos for striking images. I have two dash cams now, one for my main car and one for rentals.

parked for the night, late afternoon in british columbia's cariboo mountains, happy hour completed i was about to wander down a logging road
wandering up that same road was this healthy bruiser, who saw me scramble for a lens and meet him/her outside
non-plussed, bear went about bear things while i tried to maintain my excitement...i began to talk to bear which is when he really perked up and decided to take cover
i resumed my walk, though down another log road as i was parked at a four-road junction, i scared bear again (in truth, he scared me) as he was still in the area, doing bear things in dense bush
at 0213 hours, the dashcam registered movement...during my morning pretrip i found three paw prints on the front fender and hood of my van, never heard or felt a thing
I have a dash camera, front and back and this sticker on the back of my car to deter tailgating, it really works ;)) btw.. spot the mistake? Your - You're they were all the same.
This is a screen shot from my dashcam/GPS video. I was in the trauma unit at the Ottawa Civic Hospital for two months and another month in Physical Rehabilitation at the General Hospital followed by two years of sessions with our local health unit's PTs. All to say, I survived.
The real miracle was that my wife and two young grandchildren who were with me, got out safely with some trauma and bruising.
Accidents truly can happen "in the blink of an eye".
Well, after seeing this one on the road a few times in December and then getting a dashcam grab on New Year's eve it surprised me by turning up for sale outside my favourite local budget car lot. In fact a lot of my local spots seem to come from or end up here...
Anyway, it appears to have a tiny mileage of just under 32k at its last MOT in May '17. Not a bad MOT history, although looks like it received a lot of welding to pass last year.
Quite a display of accessory driving lamps...
I often drive across bridges wishing I could take a shot, but it's impossible to stop my Jeep and capture the image. This night time shot was taken by my dashcam and is completely unedited.

Here is a quick 10-second video from the dashcam showing two big lightning strikes one after the other.. Just look towards the roof of the BP services station you will see it about 3-4 seconds into the video, you have to be quick, you don't want to miss out.
