I have not been on-line for the past several days, and will not likely be on very much for the first part of this week. However, my brother just called me and asked me to post a photo. I asked him what photo he wanted me to post, and he simply told me to find one I liked and post it with the "Dash" poem, as a colleague of his from work has suddenly passed away. He wanted me to post something so that when he arrives in Kentucky he can share it with his co-workers....so here's one for Helen....I never knew Helen, but if her passing moved my bro enough to ask for this, she must have been a wonderful lady!

The Boeing 367-80, or "Dash 80" as it was known at Boeing, is an American prototype jet transport built to demonstrate the advantages of jet aircraft for passenger transport.
The Dash 80 was the prototype for the KC-135 Stratotanker tanker and the 707 airliner. It was built in less than two years from project launch in 1952 to rollout on May 14, 1954.
Only one was built; it is now in the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, an annex of the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum at Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia.

Kelly, Billy and I ran in the 2011 Warrior Dash running race and Obstacle Course on Saturday, October 1st, 2011. The race was held at Berkeley Plantation in Charles City, VA. and was "3.56 hellish miles" with the following obstacles:
Barricade Breakdown - Hurdle over the barricades and crawl under barbed wire.
Rubber Ricochet - Ram your way through the rubber jungle of tires.
Road Rage - Stampede through the scrap yard of rusted wreckage.
Chaotic Crossover - Crawl across tangled nets.
Deadweight Drifter - Trudge through chest to overhead deep water and over logs.
Teetering Traverse - Level your nerves as you teeter through a soaring track.
Deadman's Drop - Climb to the top and over the unhandy hurdle.
Great Warrior Wall - Conquer the wooden barricade.
Rio Run - Dash down the river.
Warrior Roast - Leap over the Warrior fire pits.
Cargo Climb - Maneuver over the cargo nets.
Muddy Mayhem - Scramble beneath barbed wire in a pit of mud as you near the finish.
We had a blast doing it together and created some awesome memories!
Pardon the clipper marks. We're about halfway through our trimming and bath time - decided to finish it up tomorrow.
