It was a beautiful day in Passau. the light on the city across the Danube was perfect.

Are you ready for boarding? 😄

If you don't like walking you can use a boat to get to Abbey Weltenburg. Or take the boat back, if you got too much dark beer in the abbey beergarden 😊

In the early morning hours as I looked out from my balcony, we had just passed another lock. I found it very beautiful in this quiet moment.

Thanks to everyone that views and comments on my images - very much appreciated.

So gar nicht winterlich ist dieser Christtagsnachmittag doch die kalten Zuflüsse bringen etwas Nebel auf den Fluss. Die letzten Sonnenstrahlen erzeugen eine wunderbare Lichtstimmung.

This Christmas Day afternoon is not at all wintry, but the cold tributaries bring a little mist onto the river. The last rays of sunlight create a wonderful light atmosphere.

thanks so very much for all your nice comments and faves!

Danube cruise:

Slowly the sun rises and casts its early rays over the Danube. Everything turns orange and wisps of morning mist drift over the surface of the water, flaring up in the sun's rays.

A pelican also wakes up at dawn and swims leisurely across the river.
