Had a hard time deciding which photo to use this week. But Diesel runs very weird - his legs all over the place, so to see a photo of him running full belt and looking semi-normal...just had to use it!
My first photo for the "52 Weeks for Dogs" Group.
Diesel has never quite understood human customs, adorning ourselves with crowns that sparkle in the sun - but he DOES understand that it means he will get a treat if he waits!
I had trouble deciding what photo to use for the first week of the project, but decided to go with a full body shot. I was asking him if he was "hungry" - cue head tilt!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
"what are you DOING, human?"
I am pretty sure he can read my thoughts. His eyes bore riiight into my brain, I swear!
Actually, this look is because I was holding his dinner - turkey necks - this is the moment I asked for a "Big Bark", he is just on the verge of opening his mouth. Unfortunately none of the bark photos were focused on his eyes as much as I would like. Maybe next week!
Here's to 2014 - more training and desensitising for Diesel; let's hope this is the year that things get a little bit easier!
Meet Ginny, short for Virginia. For labor day weekend, I went up to Lake Tahoe with some friends to hang out at a cabin. One day we decided to take a trip out to Virginia City, Nevada. Its a cute little kind of touristy town with a lot of fun little shops and people in period costumes.
In the third shop on the right, the owner had four six week old Daniffs for sale. Yep, Daniffs, that's half Mastiff, half Great Dane. That's a huge dog.
Even though we were at the cabin for two more days, and even though she had no puppy supplies whatsoever, my friend Cari and her husband fell in love with the little ones. Ginny here started licking their hands, and that pretty much cemented it. Isn't she adorable?
The weather forecast called for a dry morning and wet afternoon, but I woke to overcast and dark clouds and drizzle for Diesel & Coopers first 'proper' staged photos...alas - better luck next time!
Vera went to her first dirt bike race this weekend and was very spoiled. Here's her getting a little treat from the Rockstar folks. No, it's not Rockstar, just an ice cube.
Diesel has injured the ligament in his front right foot, so he can't walk properly, but he sure can bark and play!
Tim let me put a deposit on a puppy for my Birthday. We have been debating getting either a Mastiff or a Great Dane, So luck would have it the day before my birthday a local breeder puts up an ad for Daniff Pups, and one of the boys is a Black and Brown Harlequin, hence forth known as the Calico Pup by Tim
I Cant wait to pick him up in February
About a year ago, I photographed a cute little puppy named Ginny. She was adopted while we were on vacation in Nevada, and she was nice and small back then.
Well, she's almost a year old now and she's about 70 pounds with only 6 more months of growing to go. Thankfully, she's pretty well behaved and just a big sweetheart.
We were on vacation in Tahoe this weekend. On Saturday, 9/5, we visited Virgina City and ran into a litter of puppies.
Our friends adopted a 6 week old Daniff pup and named her Ginny. This cutie is going to grow into a 100 lbs Great Dane & Mastiff mix.
Woke from a knap and saw these two getting some fresh air.
Really wish a had my camera close. So I just grabed
my phone.
