Dangerous coastlines.
Lighthouses are already mentioned in ancient times. At that time burning fires were used on heights and cliffs by the sea or possibly, at the harbor of some great sea city, open fires on the roof of a flat tower.

Oh, yeah
Don't need permission
Made my decision to test my limits
'Cause it's my business
God as my witness
Start what I finished
Don't need no hold up
Taking control of this kind of moment
I'm locked and loaded
Completely focused my mind is open
Out for some fun tonight ♥♥♥

Taken on the Presque Isle River in Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park at Michigan's upper peninsula. This state park is located on the shore of Lake Superior and here the river is making its last dash over several hundred yards to Lake Superior. A clearing is quite visible upstream at about 1:00 o'clock in this photograph. If a visitor were to fall into the river at that point, he would stand a good chance of meeting his death as he bounced through these wash tubs with the fast flowing current.

Thistles are generally unwelcome guests in gardens, but this one was allowed to show off its colour in Bodnant Garden, Wales. It seems it is garden-friendly.
