Dancing feet!

Group of young dancers performing the River Dance in a public market.

Sand sculpture "Dancing Feet" by Fergus Mulvany (2019).

Culture by the Sea exhibition, The Hague, Holland.

Driving home this evening I noticed these sculptures adorning the Beach Ballrooms traffic roundabout, I parked quickly and captured the scene with a number of shots .

Aberdeen Beach Ballroom is hosting Aberdeen Artfair this weekend 2nd - 3rd September 2017 , sculptures crafted by Jungle Angelo an artist who has his own Facebook page , twitter account etc.

I love the sculptures, hence I took a bunch of photos rather than one or two.

I hope they stay in Aberdeen after the art fair is closed though guess they will move on .

JUNGLE ANGELO

My artist name is Jungle.

My work is graffiti no graffiti, I am an urban inventor.

My future journey with art will continue to produce new boundaries and find original ideas to manipulate what I imagine, but also find new ways to execute exciting results.

Jungle experiments in all mediums and at the moment is experimenting with concrete, encasing items that fit his style and bring some of his past pictures to life in sculpture.

Jungle's roots are in music and spray Art. He is a well known drum + bass / electronic music producer and was signed to L-double's Flex Records in Leeds and Skam Records in Manchester.

He was the 1st UK producer to release a Jungle sample cd for production pioneers TIME + SPACE (ZERO-G) helping to grow the drum + bass scene for producers worldwide. Jungle has also released many collectable white labels off his own back.

Jungle started his artistic life making a name selling paintings and art on the internet. Auctioning 4 galleries, of 100 paintings each, helped distributing his work throughout the UK.

His fascination with getting his Art to people include his innovative idea of leaving pieces of a large artwork in jigsaw format across the whole of the UK, connecting random finders with a piece of his work, and when placed together make 1 huge painting.

He currently has 250 paintings in 3 London hospitals which were donated by Saatchi Gallery and has produced work for -

Liberty's of London / Saatchi Gallery /Birmingham Museum/ Solihull Museum /

Imperial War Museum Edinburgh Castle / The Ice Hotel / Doddington Hall

For the Rogue Players: If you had just one shot!

I'm trying to get back into taking photos again. I forgot how therapeutic it can be for me! My boyfriend leaves for the Marines on Monday, and I've been feeling a bit down lately, so my artwork has kind of been helping me.

The cement was cold today! Now my toes are freezing. And I still have a tanline on the tops of my feet. :]

I'm actually pretty self-conscious of my feet. My toes are long and gangly and can look kind of creepy, or so my boyfriend says. But I've bared them.

We spotted these dancers in the town square in Emsworth and from a distance thought they were Morris dancers. When we drew closer, we saw they were in fact clog dancers.

clog dancing in the cotton mills in the north of England.

excuse the shameless post...I normally don't do but wanted to share my fair entries that have been chosen.

What is the Hare Krishna Philosophy?

The term "Hare Krishna", or The Hare Krishna Movement™ Organization, formally The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), is the orthodox core of Hinduism. It was registered in the West (in New York) in July 1966, but dates back over 5000 years. Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu (1486-1532) popularized the movement all over India. Hinduism is the world’s third largest religion with over 900 million adherents, second to Christianity and Islam (according to various leading encyclopedias, websites and almanacs). The principal scriptures are The Bhagavad-gita (The Song of God), and the Shrimad Bhagavatam (the story of the Personality of Godhead Shri Krishna Bhagavan). Krishnas believe in one God.

The basic Hare Krishna beliefs can be summarized as follows:

1. By sincerely cultivating true spiritual science, we can be free from anxiety and come to a state of pure, unending, blissful consciousness in this lifetime.

2. We are not our bodies but eternal, spirit souls, parts and parcels of God (Krishna). As such, we are all brothers, and Krishna is ultimately our common father. We accept the process of transmigration of the soul (reincarnation).

3. Krishna is eternal, all-knowing, omnipresent, all-powerful, and all-attractive. He is the seed-giving father of all living beings, and He is the sustaining energy of the entire cosmic creation. He is the same God as The Father Allah, Buddha and Jehovah.

4. The Absolute Truth is contained in the Vedas, the oldest scriptures in the world. The essence of the Vedas is found in the Bhagavad-gita, a literal record of Krishna's words.

5. One can learn the Vedic knowledge from a genuine spiritual master -- one who has no selfish motives and whose mind is firmly fixed on Krishna.

6. Before one eats, one offers to the Lord (Krishna) the food that sustains all humans; then Krishna becomes the offering and purifies the offered.

7. One performs all actions as offerings to Krishna and does nothing for one's own sense gratification.

8. The recommended means for achieving the mature stage of love of God in this age of Kali, or quarrel, is to chant the holy names of the Lord. The easiest method for most people is to chant the Hare Krishna mantra: Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare.
