Birds of prey are fascinating and majestic animals. They can generally be defined as birds that feed on animals that they catch alive. Representatives of these two orders can be found almost everywhere in the world. Although these groups are distantly related, the behavioural and anatomical characteristics they share appear to be mainly the result of parallel evolution.

Footprints and brushstrokes left in the bottom of an empty pool in the Botanic Garden remind me of the ciliate protozoan, Paramecium. ...Or dance steps.

My daughters taking dancesteps on the beach outside our home in the midnightsun last night.
By now, it will get darker at night so this was the one of last opportunities to enjoy the midnightsun until next summer.

The dance they performed was something very good. Was really a treat to watch these girls dance.. ;) and the dance by this lady was rocking.

This sculpture by Giacomo Manzu stands in front of Minoru Yamasaki's 1963 Michigan Consolidated Gas Company building. Manzu's work can also be found at Yamasaki's McGregor Memorial Conference Center on the Wayne State campus. The formal name of this work is "Passo di Danza" ("Dance Step". The model for the eleven-foot tall bronze was Manzu's wife.
