My daughters taking dancesteps on the beach outside our home in the midnightsun last night.

By now, it will get darker at night so this was the one of last opportunities to enjoy the midnightsun until next summer.

This sculpture by Giacomo Manzu stands in front of Minoru Yamasaki's 1963 Michigan Consolidated Gas Company building. Manzu's work can also be found at Yamasaki's McGregor Memorial Conference Center on the Wayne State campus. The formal name of this work is "Passo di Danza" ("Dance Step". The model for the eleven-foot tall bronze was Manzu's wife.
