Resting for the next challenge in life.

Matthew Crabb is an award winning artist based in Exeter. I was visiting the craft fair at Sandringham in Norfolk when I took this picture. Matthew had been asked by a local farmer if he could make use of an enormous tree trunk and he jumped at the opportunity. A tractor then brought the trunk to the arena for Matthew to work on. He walked round and round the trunk clearly working out in his head what he could create. It was difficult to take any good images because the background was a scruffy tent and I only had my Lumix point and shoot camera. But I went back every hour to photograph the artwork as it changed. Unfortunately Matthew said it wouldn't be finished till the end of the next day so I didn't get any shots of the finished piece.

Kind of a wet and rainy, but warm day around the city. School is beginning again and I do enjoy seeing the students dressed to impress around this time of the year. Had the luxury of being alone in the back today...nice view.

Marion is one of the crofters who will feature in my forthcoming exhibition - Crofting Life - in Stoer, Assynt from 2nd - 6th July. I'm not going to use this picture, although I'm really fond of it. All of my pictures will be monochrome, but obviously this has to be in colour. Marion is shown here with her pet sheep, Morag, and sitting outside her gift shop on her croft.

A fisherman doing one of his daily chores at Sabak Fishing Village Kelantan. Work hardened but nimble hands. This man was working so fast it took about 20 photos to get his fingers from blurring in the dim light. B&W version for comparison. I don't know what happened to the EXIF information on this sorry.

Captured in stark monochrome, this image pays tribute to the silent dignity of manual labor. The silhouette of a worker mid-gesture, hand raised in rhythm with the task, reminds us that behind every structure stands a human story built with strength, repetition, and perseverance.

Guys, you can`t belief how relieved I am to be back on my beloved board. After 12 years of usuall minor skateinjuries something big happened: I broke my spine about two months ago. Two vortexes were badly injured after I took of over the hip in our local pool -haha- I call this art of stupidity: neckbreaker attempt. Hearing your spine break is such an ugly, at the same time most scary, sound. Instant breathlessness, thoughts of paraplegia ... That`s what I call being shattered!! Killing pain like a stuck dagger between those vortexes was my best friend for the past months. Physiotherapy. I turned felt 80, no sports, no adrenalin, no moshpit, mostly laying around reading or watching shit. A fine way to start the summer, huh?!

But thank god and my catlike reflexes everything`s fine again. No long-term damages, just a slight pain left. Time to please my first love again! <3 Like Grosso said: "If you wanna play, you gotta pay!" Stay healthy, worship your health and keep up the fun in Skatebaord & Punkrock making!! It`s all about the feeling.

Yeeee guys, I opened up new grounds by fulfilling a longer termed desire. Starting an own darkroom. This is a piece of my second red-light-bathroom-session. Actually far from perfection cuz I`m testing really old paper which came along with my used bought enlanger BUT it`s incredibly trippy to develop your own creations. See, smell and hear how chemicals and silver react. So dope. I`m extremly hyped and excited to explore more.

PEACE!!

The SOOC photo is dedicated to Dakilang Ginoo aka Magnus D'Great, who recently encountered the hauteur, chutzpah, insolence, hubris, pomposity of a wannabe queen. "Life is all about ASS. Everyone's either covering it, laughing it off, kicking it, kissing it, trying to get a piece of it, or simply, JUST BEING ONE." Ano yan ba't pumuputok ang mga muffler?
