Sunflowers.
Its been a long while since I've considered flowers a reasonably price to buy.
They looked so nice in the early evening light.

Kind of a blah one !!
The beautiful blue sky with the trees just turning on the street and coffee while waiting at the airport to pick up my mum.
Portland...

We took Mum down to the Portland Saturday market,the food carts and Voodoo donuts....for once the line up wasn't blocks long but we still didn't get any !!
This morning...
I ran my fastest 3 miles so far this summer.
I think a lot of it had to do with having the dog with me and she was a little hyper this morning and doesn't understand the word...pace.
Those really are the most comfortable running shoes I've had.

The light was so nice the night before I dragged him back down to the trail for pictures.....he wasn't overly cooperative ;)

Pumpkin spiced kisses.....I don't really like pumpkin stuff but these are seriously yummy !
My new phone case finally turned up after weeks and weeks....
Around here...
I think the mantelpiece is the only part of this house I've really tried to do anything with.Its an odd shape built into the corner but I've put my pumpkins out......still searching for the perfect black one :)
Planning...
I've got some serious menu planning going on !
Lots of new recipes...
grocery lists to stick to..well thats the plan !!

Taking the dog for her early morning pee is worth it when you are greeted with skies like this.

He had to collect things that could be pressed for a school project.So we went down to the nature trail by the house.

We were told about this place and decided to check it out as dogs can be off leash.
It was hot yesterday,I actually got a bit burnt !
By the time we walked back around that river lots of dogs were in it cooling off.....not ours though but she did have a good play time :)

There isn't very much in this temporary 'garden' of ours
And everything ithat is there is dead !
Except the trees.
So I went out determined to find some pretty colour.

This house doesn't have great light.
But for about an hour in the late afternoon the sun comes in.
Tillamook Forest...
Our Sunday exploring continues.
Fall started the day before but it didn't feel like it...glorious day.
Hiked along the water and into the forest.
Taken during homework.
He was quite fascinated with those sunflowers.
Love the tongue in the top one...
And that he's still touching the vase in the bottom one.
That's his thinking face apparently !!
