Daily life now seems like the scene of a film where the direction is entrusted to statistics and where viewing is limited.
My (almost) daily training on the Lake Constance with SUP board between Horn in Germany to Berlingen in Switzerland. I enjoy the view every day. I hope we will have a sunny autumn.

For as many retired folk that I see here on Flickr, I don't suppose a pill organizer is going to be a unique subject. Among my circle of geezer friends a lot of us, myself included, use one of these as a daily calendar. The three compartments span a distance of 70mm. The photo is a focus stack of eight images stitched together with Affinity Photo. I used an adapted Canon FD 100mm f4 at f4. Have a fun, productive and creative time making your Macro Mondays photos and as always thank you to anyone that stops here to view, fave and/or compose a comment.
Daily offering of flowers, sake and rice at a small shrine within Gyogan-ji temple, Kyoto. Hasselblad X1D.
From a slide taken in August 1984 on a walk around London, we have the taxi rank entrance to Liverpool Street station to the right, and the large and grimy Broad Street station the next building down.
A real image of change, by the end of 1986 Broad Street station was no more making way for the Broadgate development, and Liverpool Street station is very different now as well.
Although long changed, it reminds me of my first years at work where this was simply a daily scene.
Always take photos of your area. You think things will stay the same but they rarely do.

The Golden Gate bridge is packed almost all the time. This is on a Saturday late afternoon, with the sun low on the horizon. It was kind of hazy, the reason for the fading colors on the second pillar.
I took a portrait photo of the bridge at 210mm (315mm equiv) tele-zoom, but cropped the photo to landscape to draw attention to the traffic. I think a good photo tells a story. In this one I try to convey the daily routine of commuting.
I processed a single exposure into a soft HDR photo.

Tow of many pigeons on my neighbours roof who visit my garden every day, I thought I would take advantage of our warmest day this year so far.
The light clarity and colours just popped, I liked the iridescent hues on the pigeons necks.
Just under a year ago, IC power suddenly invaded Michigan on numerous trains. For just over a month it was almost daily, then as soon as it started, they disappeared. Coming north on E251, a pair of the SD70s with a SD40-2 in the middle come north through Fenton past the depot.
While I go cycling more often than I walk, I was trying to fend off a whole army of viruses last week ;-) so I had to restrict myself to a daily walk in one of the local nature reserves, here in late afternoon.
This swan, by the River Test at Mottisfont, treated me to a view of a full 6 minute preening session.
I hardly ever use the burst function on my camera as it mostly results in a boring trawl through not very much. But the swan's resolve quickly dissolved my reluctance, so here is a small selection from my one hundred and five shots.
I understand that preening is usually a social activity but this swan always seems to be alone in the grounds of Mottisfont Abbey, so likely has lost its mate.
posting for Sliders Sunday
my gratitude for all your visits
Happy new week to come!
Daily life in Suvereto, a small Italian city. Laundry is hanging out of the windows for drying. Do you know how people get the laundry on the line? Tuscany, 2019.
Again, I would like to thank everyone for your support, views, faves and comments!
Latte. Esspresso. Flat white. Piccolo. Americano. Cappucino. You name it. The day cannot begin without it. We all have our rituals and the day does not feel right if we don't observe these rituals. Small ones or big ones. With or without sugar. With or without coffee art. Now the day can begin. But don't rush. Stay one more minute and just look around you. Sip that last sip of coffee, scoop up the foam at the bottom of the cup (I always do it, no exceptions - this is my favourite part!) and take a deep breath. Now the day is complete.
