Am vergangenen Wochenende feierte die Brohltalbahn ihr 120 jähriges Jubiläum. Aus diesem Anlass gab es auf dem Gelände der Brohltalbahn in Brohl eine kleine Fahrzeugausstellung von eigenen und DB Fahrzeugen. Das DB Museum in Koblenz schickte 103 113, 111 001 und 140 128. Auf Strecke zwischen Brohl und Oberzissen bzw. Engeln verkehrte der Vulkanexpress mit Dampf und Diesel, wobei die Dampfrösser nur bis Oberzissen fuhren. Zwischen Niederzissen und Engeln kam auf der Linie 866 ein historischer Omnibus aus Bonn zum Einsatz. Alles im Einen war dies eine sehr schöne Veranstaltung, für welche ich mich an dieser Stelle bei den Verantwortlichen bedanken möchte. Ich selber konnte leider nur am Sonntag den 10 Oktober vor Ort sein. Aber dieser Tag hat richtig Spaß gemacht, denn was will man mehr als schöne Züge in einer reizvollen Landschaft fotografieren zu können?! Ja, mal mitfahren. Aber dafür fehlte am Sonntag leider die Zeit. Das wird aber bald mit meiner Freundin nachgeholt.

Ein erstes Foto von Lok 11sm der mit dem Vulkan-Express habe ich euch bereits gestern gezeigt. Den Vulkan-Express um 14:30 Uhr ab Oberzissen nach Brohl zog Lok D5 der Brohltalbahn. Für ein Foto stand ich aber leider nicht passend. Daher hofften meine Mitstreiter und ich, dass die D5 an dem vorletzten Vulkan-Express um 16:30 Uhr ab Brohl hängen würde. Also wurde dem Zug an der Ausfahrt von Niederzissen Richtung Oberzissen aufgelauert. Die Sonne stand mittlerweile schon ziemlich tief, woran man merkt, dass das Jahr sich so langsam dem Ende zuneigt. Gegen 17:25 Uhr tauchte der Zug dann auf, doch die erhoffte Lok D5 hing leider nicht am Zug. Dafür erklomm die kleine D2 der Brohltalbahn mit ihrem Vulkan-Express gemütlich die letzten Meter bis nach Oberzissen.
