Znojmo is a major town in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic, the administrative capital of the Znojmo District. The town is situated on a rock outcropping on the steep left bank of the Thaya River.

It is maybe the most amazing place we have visited. The old part lay on several peninsulas as the river bends like a ADHD struck snake.
This is from the town square the last night we stayed. I took it with a handheld camera, only leaning against a wall. So it could have been sharper. That is the reason I use the cinemascope effect in Picasa. I think it hide that it is slightly blured.
