Another taken on a walk to the summit of Tyrrau Mawr west of Cader Idris back in February on what had been a rather dull afternoon weather wise but late on the light eventually broke through. It was extremely windy at the time with the wind to my back so it was not advisable to get too close to that edge, very steep drop from there.
The valley below is an area known as Islawr-dref with the hilly area of Craig y Castell rising behind with Dolgellau and Llanelltyd beyond. The prominent mountain left in the background is Y Garn which lies just off the Rhinogydd ridge to the west or left out of image here. On the extreme right is Rhobell Fawr.

This barn on the windswept coast of North Wales caught my attention as it looked like it had some stories to tell.

This is Dolbadarn Castle which will be celebrating 800 years old this summer There were a few people about this morning including this young man climbing up the front who couldn't read,no climbing allowed!

This was one of the places Wales I really wanted to visit. So when we arrived after road diversion everywhere adding time to our journey, we were then faced with low water levels and bright yellow buoys surrounding the structure.I had really wanted to take a photo of the bell mouth overflow as it had reminded me of a giant plug hole and would have made a great shot with the water flowing over! hey ho next time I told myself!!! We then decided to walk across the road to the other side to catch the autumn colours the trees and reflections before the rain came in to catch the autumn colours. I do hope you like it?
