Transport is one of the hardest sectors to decarbonise, and following the Ministerial Declaration signed by eleven countries at COP30 in Belém, the coalition will present its new leadership and 2026–27 work plan at the ITF 2026 Summit, emphasising that resilient transport investment and emissions reduction go hand in hand. Speakers include María Fernanda Rojas, Minister of Transport of Colombia; Sara González, Technical Director of the National Council for Climate Change and Carbon Market of the Dominican Republic and UNFCCC Vice-President; Bareo Hassen, State Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Logistics of Ethiopia; and moderator Daniel Bongardt, Head of Team Infrastructure and Mobility, GIZ.

Recent shocks, from natural disasters and cyberattacks to geopolitical tensions, have heightened uncertainty.
