I love the interplay between clouds and mountains and few places are better for enjoying this than the Isle Of Skye. This is Sgurr Nan Gillean at Sligachan.

Beautiful views of the rear of the mansion... we always eat lunch on the covered patio... the food is delicious!!

Another reason why this is my favorite place to be!!

The Cutting Estate, located on the east side of the Connetquot River, was purchased in 1880 from Pierre Lorillard, by the Cutting family and in 1886 the mansion was built.

This garden boasts over 1,300 dahlias plants with 300 varieties. Dahlias come in a variety of colors and forms. You will find the large “dinner-plate” size dahlias to the tiny ball dahlias, with all varieties in-between. From a single color to variegated to blends, this stunning garden displays the full range of colors of the dahlias and is amazing to see in person!!

Since I went crazy clicking so many, I will be posting 3 at a time just for you to see the beauty of these flowers!!

After the corn has been harvested the land is tilled and there is a gap to allow hedge cutting to occur before next years harvest is sown.

I personally would prefer less trimming of hedges to help the wildlife.

This is taken from Legram Lane which is part of the rural setting near Marton Cum Grafton village. It’s nestled within North Yorkshire’s scenic landscape, which you might already know is rich with historic farms and countryside charm.

A week or so ago I traveled to find a small waterfall I had heard of. I had a better angle of the falls, unfortunately the wind ripping through this little valley created so much movement of the trees, and small brush in the scene the images became unusable. While I will be back here to get the composition I wanted, this one is interesting enough on its own. The water cutting the rock into boulders, into stones, leaving this strange boulder field in an unmarked valley in the mountains. This is Little Bird Falls, a lovely, if not often visited fall, it to me is more significantly interesting than the larger fall up above that attracts the most attention, though I fear the scene is a bit chaotic.

While this angle didn't require me to get wet, the previous composition I can't show you yet had me knee deep in the creek.
