Each postcard had to have the words Happy New Year, a picture of a dog (for the year of the dog) and your blog address on it.
Koban are mini police stations dotted around Japanese cities, enabling citizens to interact with police in a more intimate, approachable fashion. They form a distributed organisational model for police within the city, rather than simply relying on large, centralised police headquarters.
