Three grizzly bear cubs being as cute as can be :-). Mama bear was to the right of them grassing on grass. I took this photo from the safety of my car.
I hadn't planned to go to the park the other day because it was horribly windy. I changed my mind at the last minute and I'm sure glad I did. Goslings are soooo cute and it was heartwarming to see them.

Since it's very cold and windy with not much going on outside, I got out a lens I haven't used very often and decided to take advantage of Ripley being cozy and cute with only natural light from the window. The dogs have taken over this chair and rearranged the pillows to their liking - making a very cushy and comfortable napping place.
Male Black-bellied Hummingbirds give the species its name, with their black underparts that extend up through the face to the forecrown. Females, on the other hand, are light gray below. Both males and females are mostly bronzy green above. Black-bellied Hummingbirds live in cool, wet forests and bordering shaded pastures or coffee plantations in the highlands of Costa Rica and western Panama. The alpaca (Vicugna pacos) is a species of South American camelid. It is similar to, and often confused with, the llama. However, alpacas are often noticeably smaller than llamas. The two animals are closely related and can successfully cross-breed. Alpacas and llamas are also closely related to the vicuña, which is believed to be the alpaca's wild ancestor, and to the guanaco. There are two breeds of alpaca: the Suri alpaca and the Huacaya alpaca. Alpacas are kept in herds that graze on the level heights of the Andes of Southern Peru, Western Bolivia, Ecuador, and Northern Chile at an altitude of 3,500 m to 5,000 m above sea level. Alpacas are considerably smaller than llamas, and unlike llamas, they were not bred to be working animals but were bred specifically for their fiber. Alpaca fiber is used for making knitted and woven items, similar to sheep's wool. These items include blankets, sweaters, hats, gloves, scarves, a wide variety of textiles and ponchos in South America, and sweaters, socks, coats and bedding in other parts of the world. 16612
