I love the yarns that are pre-dyed to give a particular design. The problem is that there are different needle sizes and stitch counts and yarn weights for each project, and they will vary. In order to keep those bands/rows consistent and not hodgy-podgy all over the place, one must cut and paste. I hate to cut and paste, but I'm anal-retentive and those rows must be in alignment. So, this is the result - cut and paste and then weave all those ends into the final product. Yuck! But if someone says that this hat is very cool, well then I feel it is all worth it.
