The old man thinks
about the life hes lived.
Strong are the memories
of the days before.
Stories of valor,
family and more.
Gone are the days
when he was young.
Here are the nights
when the demons set in.
Thinking of the days before.
Haunted by past deeds,
demons and more.
Loneliness and longing
for the days that came before.
He looks to his family
for the love they bring
and more.
Deep inside the past,
slowly die's as the love
reaches in and he finely
reaches out for more.
Created from a photograph of a wash cloth in the Kitchen sink full of water and soap for dish's. Mirrored the portion that looked cool with HDR filter and some shadowing.
In the sky, all day long.
They drift around seen
and unseen.
When we are children,
we gaze up at the
creators drawing board,
that place that is in between.
Shapes emerge and
move across the sky,
like they were on a
movie screen.
As we grow older we
forget to look up and
dream of all things
created that are unseen.
Remember, weather you
look or not, they are there.
If you choose to look you
will see what I mean,
in that place in between.
Photograph of Clouds in the sky, mirrored and inverted for the look you see here.

this one is kind of a mess. i made the trees and decided they needed grass and it still looked empty after that so i went to town with my pencil.........i need practice. anyway, here's my second collage, this one a little more mixed media than the last (magazines, a pen AND a pencil!)
"no wonder kids grow up crazy. a cat's cradle is nothing but a bunch of x's between somebody's hands and little kids look and look and look at all those x's..."
"and?"
"no damn cat, and no damn cradle"
