Playing in the rain
My love for it I can not feign.
Its amazing to feel the rain.
Each drop falls like a chain.
Splashing to the ground again and again.
Bubbly like champagne.
as it drains across the wet terrain.
Soaking us as,
we play in the rain.
Natural designs,
inline with the earth.
Spiritually dressed,
in shapes and colors.
Earthly designs
like no others.
Show us what our
thoughts are worth.
Clothing designers,
use from the earth,
that which was
the earth mothers.
Every design ever seen,
was created on the ground
before fashion existed.
Natives sight saw,
long before,
the designs,
that of which our
mother wore.
Borrowed are our
thoughts of design,
from earth and time.
The king and queen of ice
are the perfect pair.
Reflecting from each other
the love they share.
That strength, that love,
that the other,
uses with care.
Reflections of
one heart,
whom of us,
have been there?
The pair are one in all
they do and dare.
Into each others eyes
they stare.
When in my mind,
art dose form,
Everything becomes
but a dream.
Flipping, changing,
according to the
artist storm,
Beauty comes forth
with a clean seem.
The process of art
calms my form,
keeps me aligned
with a grander scheme.
Soul searching in the
midst of an artist's
thoughtful swarm,
Allows one to let out
the daydream.

Shadows on the wall
drifting in the sun.
Catching the shadows
with a flash.
Creating patterns and lines
just for fun.
Quickly the sun takes
over in the batting of
an eye lash.
The light chases away
the lines, their done.
Across the wall the
night shadows make
their last dash.
Photograph of the shadows of the blinds and the sunlight on the wall. Inverted, and mirrored.
Playing on the forest floor.
Drifting of to dream some more.
Green surrounds the senses and opens a door.
Day dreaming of a topsy turvey forest core.
Sunlight light and shadows dance and soar.
Playing on the forest floor.
I have been meaning to do something with a collection of beer mats that I bought. This is how it turned out. It is not exactly as I imagined initially. I have come to understand increasingly that art is less like design where one mostly plans things and thinks things through very carefully in order to achieve a specific goal but is more like Science where one explores, investigates and discovers things that one didn't necessarily start out to look for.
I am not sure about the background it is mounted on but these were pieces of card that were used as dividers in the collection of beer mats to separate out little groupings. It made sense to include these in the piece and I quite liked the faded nature of the obviously old cardboard used.
