In February, I moved from South Africa to New Zealand, but unfortunately my Lego hasn't made it over here with me yet, which is why I haven't posted anything in months.
I have made several BrickLink and FireStar Toys orders which finally arrived. These consisted of parts for new custom figures I plan to make/parts for upgrading existing minifigures. (See the notes for details.)

Custom DAK Chopper
A 1950 Ford full custom owned by Stu, a friend of mine. Stu has been a body man his entire career and is now close to 80, you would never know it though. Stu has owned this car since the late '50's and it was the only family car for a long time, his kids grew up riding in it, they took it from home, Victoria BC Canada, to California many times for holidays, then he decided to build a house so he took the trunk off, took the back seat out and used it as a 'truck', to haul the lumber in, he still lives in that house, sadly his wife died five years ago. Finally after all the years flew by, Stu had started to customize the car but he was too busy working so the car sat for a few years, eventually he decided to finish it. He chopped the top, put a custom DeSoto grille in it, molded the parking lights, frenched the headlights and put '55 Pontiac 'brows' over them, rounded the hood corners front and back, louvered the hood, took the chrome off of it, removed the door handles and put in electric switches to open them, molded lake pipes along the bottom, shortened the side chrome, put a '58 Chev Impala 'fake' roof scoop at the back of the roof line, he carried peaks along the trunk to match the roof scoop, tunneled the licence plate, frenched the rear tail lights, lowered it, reupholstered it and put a Chev V8 engine in it with an automatic transmission, he topped it all off with a Candy Apple Red paint job. He's still doing bodywork for the hot rod fraternity and drives this gem quite often. I've know Stu for probably 50 years. My 'stock' bodied '50 Ford is 7 photo's down from this one, compare the two, you will see a major difference.

Now Wong was one of my favorite characters in Doctor Strange and even though I not quite fond of his costume in this movie and would prefer if he had more green but I wanted his look to match that of the official lego version of Strange, Mordo, and the Ancient One. I wanted to capture what Wong would look like if Lego made an official figure of him so I didn't go too crazy in terms of the arms and the legs.
This was a rather quick custom, I did it in just one day, but it still was pretty tedious because I used an Iron Man torso and I had to get all the printing off. Fun tip for those struggling with getting printing off legos, just use a pencil eraser, it may take some time, but it gets the job done!
This great looking custom Motorcycle was on display at a local cruise in Crystal River, Florida.

This sweet girl came to me "lightly" customized and normally I don't work on dolls already modified but she was very gently carved so I considered it and took the challenge.
Her base doll is a Miss Sally Rice translucent Blythe, and she is very happy to be traveling back to Spain to reunite with her mom again soon! Hope you all love her!
(Eyelid art was not by me)

My custom #68 is already on her way to Virginia, here in the U.S.! She is a sweet girl who's base doll is Seeking Apelles Takara Blythe with a haircut.
Don't be deceived by her quiet demeanor, this girl can have wise things to say just at the right moment and she's excited to join her amazing dolly family!
I hope you love her as much as I loved creating her! <3
I feel like this custom has an understated innocence and elegance...in a monster sort of way ~______^
