And now, something completely different.

No, it is not an M38 Sherman tank scope, it is not to be mounted on a Sterling submachine gun. It is a slightly different M38A2 scope that was supposed to be mounted on a project raygun.

But it won't be.

What this does not fit on is a fictional Sci-Fi handgun, or a raygun, if you like, I have been working on (and off) for two years now. It's a completely handcrafted custom gun of my original design, it has an all-steel construction with walnut grips and electronics from Erv' of the Plecterlabs. Every bit of the gun is handmade, even some of the screws keeping it together, the only thing that isn't custom made is the sighting scope.

I wanted to use a real scope, partially as a nod to movie prop guns, but mostly to keep in touch with reality. I went for an old Weaver rifle scope because it's simple sleek tubular form (and cheap price, it cost only $14). The M38, which is all too familiar from the Stormtrooper blaster, is a gorgeous piece of vintage optics and I kept wondering if it would work despite the Star Wars connection. I kept an eye on those for about 18 months on eBay, and boy, were they expensive! Then I found this equivalent with fair price and thought, damn, I gotta try this.

I removed the Weaver and tried the M38A2 on instead. I immediately realized that it just doesn't work. Too heavy, too Star Wars, too obvious. So, it's back with the Weaver.

At the moment the raygun (visible in the background) has almost all the steel parts fitted in place, it still needs some serial and other numbers punched in before it can be polished, blued and worn to look like a hudred+ years old well oiled vintage handgun behind museum glass. Electronics will be fitted in last.

For the record: I do not own any guns or weapons of any kind, never have. This is just a raygun project, albeit a serious one in some levels. I will upload more photos with more info & detail as the project nears it's completion, but it'll be slow, I have too many projects going on. You know what it's like.

This is a fig I did back in October of last year. I changed the helmet to a brickarms MCH, added the minigun and spIII legs.

It's not the best photo shoping but I like it.

The minifig torso is completely covered in the camouflage pattern using clear water-slide decals, the face has a clear water-slide decal applied as well.

It's a California King size, and wow, is it big! I wish I had enough doll room to keep it for myself-- as it is, I barely had enough room on my teeny table to photograph it, lol!

The Custom House in Salem, Massachusetts, where Nathaniel Hawthorne, author of The Scarlet Letter worked for three years and which he describes (extensively) in his introduction to his book. As seen from Central Wharf.

It's been a while since I've customized a girl to stay, so I'm super excited to introduce to you my newest work / addition: Loretta! I had been dying to create a brown girl but have been so busy with commissions and special requests that I hadn't had the time to experiment with coloring plastic, so a fakie it is! (Happy Birthday month to me!) As most of you know, all of the girls in my personal collection have names from The Beatles' songs, some of them are related to the songs and some of them are not. In this case, don't mind what the song "Get Back" says about Sweet Loretta Martin LOL! This Loretta is a very girly girl who is very sassy. I hope you love her, all the girls are very excited to have a new sister to play with, except Prudence, but that's just Prudence. Hope you enjoy the pictures and you'll definitely be seeing more of her! Xx

This girl right here is very special, she is the result of your guys' support towards me during this fun customizing journey. Last June I ran a custom-service giveaway where close to 500 people entered, (thank you all who did!) it was very exciting but for now there could only be one winner, well this girl's mom was the lucky one! She was prompt to ship her Playful Raindrops to me and I was finally able to get my hands on her, so she is awake and ready to travel back to Finland! I hope you love her as much as I do and stay tuned for more giveaways in the future!

Thank you all again for your continued support, you guys are the best!

Ghoulia custom I did to sell, but I'm kind of thinking about keeping here. BECAUSE I'M GREEDY. No, because she's pretty. I kind of went for a Scarah/Sarah Screams thing, and she looks fierce in a high bun D: Anyway, if anyone is interested, let me know. If not, I'll keep her for me selfsies.

There are some advantages riding on the top floor of a bus. Saw this great Custom Car on the roundabout on the way home this evening. Managed to get a few shots of it on my iPhone 5. I want one! :-)

It's a custom mag with transparent panel, for use with M4, ACR, SCAR-L or G36. I think AK would look meh with it.

I worked about 40 minutes on this, and then PMG won't let me save the motherf&$@#cking code!

Not even after deleting the transparent part!

Also, the "save JPG"-button didn't work, so I placed a white shape (size 10.000) behind it, to cover up the "Pimp My Gun" background. I think it's ugly with the screencap weapons :P

So I'm sorry, there's no code.

Feel free to comment.
