I don't know if the NIK converter (which has a lens for infinity focus) is impacting things. Further testing is clearly needed. The adapter seems to not let me set the aperture smaller than f/2.8 and the softness did seem worse wide open at f/1.9.

(I'm particularly proud of the spacey background, which was built completely from scratch. I know it's not an exact match for LEGO's or the CS30 event going on right now, but I like it.)

This is the other side of my first SPC boxcar that I have made myself. The first side remains clean as of this photo, but I have opted to test some weathering techniques for wooden boxcars on this side of 94.

Two matched Reading GP-35 locos are on point of this mixed freight as it works up the grade on my garden railroad. Crossing over the "twin bridges" the locos are at mid-grade so there is much more work to be done.

It is a 3% grade here, the ruling grade for the outer mainline.

While the bridges cross a dry streambed, this is where all of the rainwater from the roof of our Florida room flows so it can be a (scale) raging rapid at times.

This 1:32 scale Piko/MDC hopper has been repainted and lettered with custom decals. The Baldwin loco is from MTH and the flatcar is brass.

A "family photo" of sorts of the four covered hoppers I have been working on recently. All of them are kitbashed from larger hoppers. Three from USA Trains cars and one from LGB (far left Conrail). All results are 2-bay covered hoppers with unique paint jobs and custom decals.

This car is a kit-bash of a much larger four-bay hopper, cut down to two-bay sized. I did the decal work for a friend of mine and I look forward to giving him this car in a few weeks. I designed and printed the custom decals.
