The currently idle construction site. It is not known at this time when the conversion will be completed, as there are a number of problems.
The real estate company responsible for the building, Signa, is insolvent, so it is unclear at this time how the renovation of the building will be continued.
While we all wish for the beach, here are some of my current faves that help me stay cool and fresh while staying in the city.
My project today was Trim Work. It will get painted white, and the walls will get painted, the only way I can describe the colors is Fall Colors, I think the one wall is called Pumpkin and the other is some sort of Yellow. It looks much better than it sounds, trust me. Also, I am particularly pleased with how the stained glass window looks all trimed out.
Ken Follett's "World Without End" - all 1014 pages. I'm about 300 into it.
