The Red-tailed Hawks seem very curious and let photographers approach quite close.

One bird that stays in Michigan year-around is the Black-capped Chickadee, who can often be heard singing his name: "Chick-a-dee-dee-dee."

The robin (Erithacus rubecula) is a species of bird of the flycatcher family (Muscicapidae). It inhabits North Africa, Europe and Asia Minor as well as the Mediterranean islands.

Young toco Toucan, Ramphastos toco, from a clutch of 4 hatched in the Spring of 2019. Toco toucans (also known as the Common Toucan) are the largest of the toucan family and have the largest bill relative to body size of all birds. Parker Aviary, San Diego Zoo Conservation Status: Least Concern.

There are new Mallard ducklings at the pond. ♥

They are so cute and fluffy that is almost a pity that they grow up so fast; it only takes them 50-60 days to fledge and become independent.

Mute Swan Cygnet

One of seven beautiful title cygnets, this little cutie swam over to the river bank, in the close company of siblings and parents. She (?) seemed very curious at first, then continued to splash and dabble around in the water.

A little while later, she, and most of her siblings, tucked their heads under their tiny little wings, draped one great, big Jurassic webbed foot along their sides, and had little naps.

Just lovely to watch.

Happy Caturday everyone! 🐱

I was lucky enough to see a pair of barred owl during my trip in Orlando. We were walking around a park called Orlando Wetlands, when we heard one call. We called back and when into the forest. After a couple of minutes of calling we spotted them. We got to watch them for about 30 minutes before it got dark. It was an amazing experience!

Robins have started to sing again to establish their autumn/winter territory. Will love the season!

A curious gosling comes very close to the end of my lens, but not before the distant honk of it's mother sent it scurrying back to her.

Then you are photographing and in the distance you hear the lowing of a cow.

I do know what time it is (will be), because cows are curious animals and it often happens to me that they come to decorate my pictures (fi. www.flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/46917141772/in/album-...), this couple is no exception.

I couldn't be a farmer for that reason, I just like them too much. How many times haven't I been sniffed by a wet nose, or even better, licked by a tongue on a hot summer day because I tasted like a salt herring (they seem to love salt herrings :)).

Finally, after a lot of bellowing, especially the cow on the left poses perfectly, the only thing missing was the question on her lips: "Livingstone I presume?"

On a sunny but windy day, most birds were staying in the low ground cover. A clump of cedar and junipers had some Golden-crowned Kinglets coming out to feed and heading back in for cover. A few calls enticed this one out for a quick peek.
