Looking after my Dad's snake while he's on holiday. He's a Royal Python, only a little un, he's very cute, though OH's not happy about the microwaved rats he eats. Apparently they explode if you leave them in too long.

Cuddling cuddle fish.

Yesterday Grace was not behaving. Shocking, I know. Kurt and I got so frustrated with her that we sent her to her room to think about her actions.

Next thing we know, it's awfully quiet in her room. We leave her be for a little while so we can decompress. When Kurt finally went to check on her, he realized she'd laid down on her bed and snuggled down under her blanket. And she was completely asleep.

So he woke her back up (it was after 5pm), and I got some massive cuddle time with her. It was heavenly!!!

Pet is part of our life now. As a companion, they provide soothing feeling for our crazy life, making us more human. At least, that is how I feel.
