Crush your head

On our "backroad only" Oregon adventure we decide to take a detour to the ghost town of Kent. Kent is on Highway 97 and this abandoned eatery and gas station is only a couple of metres from the roads fog line. The sign promoting refreshing and delicious Orange Crush still stands on the café roof and is in excellent condition.

Whenever I am sad or happy this song never fails me... <3
“My prayers, my tears, my wishes, fears, and lamentations, were witnessed by myself and heaven alone. When we are harassed by sorrows or anxieties, or long oppressed by any powerful feelings which we must keep to ourselves, for which we can obtain and seek no sympathy from any living creature, and which yet we cannot, or will not wholly crush, we often naturally seek relief in poetry—and often find it, too—whether in the effusions of others, which seem to harmonize with our existing case, or in our own attempts to give utterance to those thoughts and feelings in strains less musical, perchance, but more appropriate, and therefore more penetrating and sympathetic, and, for the time, more soothing, or more powerful to rouse and to unburden the oppressed and swollen heart.”
― Anne Brontë, Agnes Grey
'Bar Crusher'
A little boat on Sydney harbour.
At Milson's Point Wharf.
Photographed last Saturday afternoon, 18th March, 2023, during my walk around the harbour. I had caught the train from Gordon to Milson's Point (T1 Line), and then took the ferry, 'The Supply', across to Circular Quay and the city.
After watching a passenger ship, 'MSC Magnifica' (Panama) depart from the Overseas Passenger Terminal at 'The Rocks', I then photographed lots of Rivercats on the harbour near Campbell Cove, and eventually returned to Milson's Point at night-time by walking back across the harbour bridge from the city.
Just another Saturday afternoon in Sydney town!!

I seem to have accidentally spilled in the whole bottle of depression into the mix.
Enjoy a little colour in the midst of the spoopy season. It'll do you good, I swear it.

These Cockscomb are huge, not mine ours are bit smaller,
they plant them one at a time so they have more nutrients,
I had about 50 plants in one spot, I have to separate them and amend the soil,
Have last years seeds from them, also many from mine,

I would die for you
I would die for you
I've been dying just to feel you by my side
To know that you're mine
I will cry for you
I will cry for you
I will wash away your pain with all my tears
And drown your fear
I will pray for you
I will pray for you
I will sell my soul for something pure and true
Someone like you
See your face every place that I walk in
Hear your voice every time that I'm talking
You will believe in me
And I will never be ignored
I will burn for you
Feel pain for you
I will twist a knife and bleed my aching heart
And tear it apart
I will lie for you
Beg and steal for you
I will crawl on hands and knees until you see
You're just like me
Violate all the love that I'm missing
Throw away all the pain that I'm living
You will believe in me
And I can never be ignored
I would die for you
I would kill for you
I would steal for you
I'd do time for you
I will wait for you
I'd make room for you
I'd sail ships for you
To be close to you
To be part of you
'Cause I believe in you
I believe in you
I would die for you
