Local elections Next Sunday and parliamentary elections at the end of November, everyone is vying for promises they know will never be honored.

I like this almost architectural feel to this crop, and most car people would identify this as Packard from the Radiator Shell shape alone. This model used rather small headlights compared to many at the time, but they still look good. The reflections provided lots of interesting intense colors. This horizontal image will appear much bigger on Flickr.

Cropped shot from the Sigma 70mm ...with a bonus fly.

Decent crop of gooseberries this year even after a caterpillar attack stripped the bush of its leaves overnight!

For "Smile on Saturday" - theme : "meadows and fields" .

Think this was my favourite shot of the day...cropped version of St Paul's Cathedral...London

This crop may be Linseed.

It was another rapid stop occasion in the car, as these trees struck me as I was passing; many dozen of them, grown close, in a garden right by the house, with the sun streaming through.

Spotted on the Jade plant. It wandered around for a while allowing a number of shots before it decided enough was enough and shortly after this shot it flew off.

Such a cute little farm “up north” in Michigan! We stopped at the nearby stand and bought some delicious peaches. We didn’t have a knife with us, so we just bit into them and let the juice flow! Yum!

I'm guessing young wheat. Reliably informed by two separate people that it is barley. Must try harder. B-.

Summer crop ripening

Yeh, a bit corny I know. But it's for Sliders Sunday.

Part of this years first hay crop sits waiting for pickup and storage. Normally we get 4 cuttings per season, weather permitting.

A different edit from the same series of low-level Song sparrow photos from a few months ago (In fact, if I recall this is the exact next frame from the previous). I had no intentions of catching the movement, but I do enjoy how the slow shutter-speed blurred the wing.
