Never smile at a crocodile

No, you can't get friendly with a crocodile

Don't be taken in by his welcome grin

He's imagining how well you'd fit within his skin

Never smile at a crocodile

Never tip your hat and stop to talk awhile

Never run, walk away, say good-night, not good-day

Clear the aisle but never smile at Mister Crocodile

You may very well be well bred

Lots of etiquette in your head

But there's always some special case, time or place

To forget etiquette

For instance:

Never smile at a crocodile

No, you can't get friendly with a crocodile

Don't be taken in by his welcome grin

He's imagining how well you'd fit within his skin

Never smile at a crocodile

Never dip your hat and stop to talk awhile

Never run, walk away, say good-night, not good-day

Clear the aisle but never smile at Mister Crocodile

Shot with a Holga using Kodak 160 NC film - August 2010

So, my hubby kept laughing at me for my Crocs with the daisies on, said i was funny and cute, for which I replied 'i bet you would like a pair of crocs with your own flowers' fast forward a few days to his birthday and I had these Camo Crocs waiting with my own home grown Gerberas as personalised Jibbitz.

Just hoping to make a smile or two at our very stylish family this weekend....

Resting but keeping an eye on us at the zoo.

Nile Crocodile (Crocodylus niloticus) basking in the sun after a meal. From the looks of it, this croc fed on some type of bird. The Nile Crocodile is one of the largest apex predators in Africa, and only the Saltwater Crocodile is larger among crocodilians. An adult averages 64-68 teeth in that long, narrow mouth.

A shot from Chemical beach Seaham this morning . The old waste pipe in this shot looks like a crocodiles mouth . Thanks for looking

The black and white cat is one of the suitors of this black kitten. There is also a red and a white spotted with grey. I found myself one day in a cafe and after making sure that, while I was drinking my coffee, I wasn't in the way of their business, they didn't care about me anymore.

It was really difficult for this poor black kitten, she was jumping from one chair to another and not leave her a minute.

She approached my chair, thinking that the others wouldn't do it, but instead I found them all around me.

I didn't really understand if she was playing to escape or if she was happy with the suitors, because she didn't seem angry, she just moved when they were too close to her. I lost my feline mind to understand : ))

Anyway, I haven't seen them since.

Not everyone likes cats, especially when they are in love....

I found the perfect song, in my opinion, for this story.

It's taken from Verdi's Traviata and is called "Un Di felice" (A Happy Day). : ))

But the funniest thing is that you'll see David Byrne sing it, yes, he's it, I'm just as surprised as you are.

He, very brave, I appreciate the confidence of those who do things now for fun and entertainment and no longer to assert themselves ....

A Philippine crocodile at the Pittsburgh Zoo.

Brand new Crocs as seen in a charity store.

Not my size or I would've bought them. Perhaps I should have bought them as someone has a pair on eBay for $49.99!

#26/126 Crocs:126 pictures in 2026

Whilst taking some bluebell shots in the local woods, I had a double take at this scene! This log triggered my inbuilt "fight or flight" alert system for a nano second. It certainly looked like some reptilian crocodile emerging from the depths.

The more I looked at it the more the logs form and texture seemed to resemble a crocodile. So for a bit of humourous interest I thought I would post it. There has been absolutely no manipulation of the image, this was exactly how this old tree appeared. So if " you go down to the woods today...." as they say!

Crocodile at Butterfly Creak in Auckland. We were given tickets to visit Butterfly Creak when my daughter was really sick. It is a great family outing. There are a lot of animals, the most interesting of course are the crocodiles. This is the only place in New Zealand I know of you can see real crocks like this.

Bronze Crocodile Fountain, Place du Marche, Nimes

Designed in 1986 - 87 by the artists Martial Raysse, Silvio and Vito Tongiani.

The symbol of Nîmes is a crocodile chained to a palm tree, a reminder that the city was founded by Roman legionaries returning from victories in Egypt. The Roman period was the most prosperous of all the history of Nîmes as testified by well-preserved remains: the Arena, and the Maison Carree

I took this shot of the crocodile's eye, when it was resting in bright sunlight, near the pond in its enclosure, in a zoo. Croc eyes are amazing. They can see in color, in the night and under water.

it's my Crocs ♥♥ .. it's the B-E-S-T shoes eva ;D .. i LOVE it (L) ,,
