This Ami mushroom is still int the works... More photos and pattern link to come. It opens and will store little woodland friends for my niece. I'm just so happy with it I couldn't wait to post it.

This is the prototype, which I designed while researching the love knot stitch for the Love Knot Adventures class I taught at the CGOA conference in 2012. (Will be offered again in Oct. 2013)

We live in an apartment complex that has a pond with wild and domestic ducks. The domestic ducks should not have been left here to fend for themselves, and the life they have here is not a very good one.
We have found all 27 of them a new home with a pond that is protected by double fences, and we have permission from the complex to relocate them all.
The problem now is that we are inexperienced with domestic duck rescue, and we need help. We need someone with experience that can help organize a plan to actually catch them all because we don't want to hurt any of them. And, we also need carriers and adequate vehicles for transporting them to the farm that is about 15 minutes away.
If you know of anyone in the Brockport, NY area that may be able to help, please let me know here.
Update! These ducks are all in their new home and safe thanks to a whole lot of people. Thank you Jennifer of the Duck Rescue Network and Carolina Waterfowl Rescue, Elain Sloan, Caroline Lee, the petducksrus yahoo group, Farm Sanctuary, and everyone else that either got involved or expressed their concern for the ducks. These ducks are now safe and were actually relocated before the temperature reached 0 and below thanks to Jennifer, who got the ball rolling by getting this video into the right hands: www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0Gtq36ZcC8&featu re=channel_page
