This lightweight Tunisian crochet net pattern is designed to collapse readily so that it can convert into a ring scarf, cowl, shoulder warmer, and even a head wrap. It's a simple shape that's fast to crochet and can do so much!
Another great thing about it is that it uses up very little yarn. Even the largest size (Plus size 5X) requires no more than 2 skeins of yarn.
The Smokestack Vest pattern is written for eight sizes, from Small to Plus size 5X, and is downloadable from the Designingvashti shop and Ravelry.

Purple: ch 26, 25 sc, ch 1, turn, 25 sc, continue until 50 rows total.
Cable Sweater
**To attach Turtleneck to Cable Sweater:
Purple: 50 sc around Ribbed Turtleneck; ch 3, 50 dc, turn, ch 3, 50 dc, turn, ch 3, 50 dc; turn, ch 3, 50 dc, turn, ch 3, 50 dc, turn, ch 3, 50 dc; 20 rows, fasten off.

Point-to-Point Tunisian Filet with Twisted Bead Drops.
A convertible layer edged as you go with “water droplets” (beaded twisted loops that require no pre-stringing). Yarn: DesigningVashti Lotus, 100g Crystal Blue color with small accent amounts of Teal Glimmer and Bamboo Green.
This is Tunisian filet crochet trimmed with moss stitch that can be seamed (by lacing) different ways for a convertible poncho, vest/tunic, shawl. The accent band can be worn in the front and back for a v-neck or at the shoulders for a bateau head opening.

5 sc, ch 15, sk 10, 35 sc to the end of side (sc, ch1, sc in corner); 60 sc (sc, ch1, sc in corner); 35 sc, ch 15, sk 10, 5 sc; turn, ch 1
5 sc, 20 sc, 35 sc to the end of side (sc, ch1, sc in corner); 60 sc (sc, ch1, sc in corner); 35 sc, 20 sc, 5 sc
Join with 3 sc. Fasten off.

This is a new design for my upcoming Slip Stitch Crochet class to illustrate the relationship between two kinds of slip stitch ribbings. Stretchy and fun to play with, it has a fascinating, beautiful texture. Also, a flattering frame for the face.
The center strip took 3 hours of a road trip so it comes along quickly. Surprisingly, the ruffled parts work up as fast or faster.
Strangely addictive to crochet.
