creating a creative energy generator, from my creative journaling workshop at abccreativity.com/creative-journaling/

Journaling. I have not been able to get back into the routine of journaling, but I would like to. I started a second journal last year which will encompass pages 3,001-6,000, but I have not written in it as much just yet. I have a lot of associations with smoking so it’s a trigger that I want to avoid. I have too many other things that are a higher priority right now, so it’s on the back burner.

I do feel much better when I am journaling I will admit that. I feel like I get a lot of release, which is something that we all need: an outlet. I’m also publishing my first journal this year… maybe that will help get me motivated to get back in the swing of things!

for creative journaling workshop: abccreativity.com/creative-journaling/ setting our intention. what do we want to do with creative journaling? what do we want to receive from it? on this one the black ink i wrote in sunk into the paint making it hard to read. it's like a secret message to myself. i love it :)

I started my second journal of 3,000 pages. These are not all, but some of the high lights. I did not realize until today how much I missed my friend, and now I have 4 months worth of catching up to do sort of speak. Needless to say, I have my work cut out for me...

Preparing to start my next journal on April 1st. I finished my first 3,000 page journal on December 16th of last year, and it has been three months since I have poured my thoughts out... it was a great friend, a form of therapy, a place of refuge; and there have been many times this year where I wished I had the pages to turn to.

A vibrant, chaotic collage bursts with texture and color, featuring a cutout of Earth, a chocolate chip cookie splattered with pink glitter glue, and bold red typography. The layered composition, with its mix of photographic realism, graphic design, and tactile elements like felt and sequins, creates a playful, DIY aesthetic that feels both nostalgic and energetic.

The papercut phoenix on this page is not by me. It was a gift from the lovely artist Firuzan Goker. I've been wanting to do something with it for a long time--hopefully it is sufficiently honored here!

there is too much glitter reflecting light in the photo.. you can't read what it says. it's a machine that generates creative energy

I took two manila folders out of the recycling bin and turned them into my next art journal.
