My wife was horrified by this presentation, but I think she missed the finer details: all of the animals being birthed! I know, in this age of Monsanto and GMO, our imaginations can run amuck and foul our understanding. This woven piece was presented along a major street in downtown Akureyri, Iceland.
One of the charms of Iceland is the colorful interpretations of physical/historical/geological (etc) events through the filter of mythology and folklore. Not to be ignored or dismissed, but embraced and adored!
La soirée EXTRAVADANSE qui a lieu à la salle BALTUS LE LORRAIN de Creutzwald depuis 11 ans permet de présenter à la population un spectacle où tous les genres de danses sont représentés.
C'est la soirée de danse à ne pas manquer avec le spectacle de l'association au mois de Juin bien-sur !!!!
Ici, pas de compétitions, simplement l'occasion pour tous les amoureux de la danse de présenter leurs créations lors d'une soirée agréable ou le plaisir de dansé la fête et la passion sont les maîtres-mots !
Unfortunately, we made it too late to the Rodin museum to be able to go into the Hôtel Biron (in the grounds of the museum) and enjoy those of his sculptures too fragile to be outdoors... the ones on display in the grounds were quite feast enough, though.
Notwithstanding that, though, I couldn't resist this view through the Hôtel, taking in the great man's hands, and several of his other sculptures. I loved the sensuality of the hands... no matter whether carved in marble or behind glass, they still have to power to move and thrill...
They DO espouse natural selection; the DON'T link it to evolution and the idea that humans evolved from other species and that there is a common ancestor. See diagram.
