Time for a little landscape of the ICM variety. I like how some camera movement can really capture the actual movement that was all around on this stormy evening down at Elwood beach. It was blowing a gale, which perhaps you can guess from the sea spray whipping about those rocks.

The remains of a recently collapsed barn off River Road in northwest Illinois. The brutal winter snow and winds this year spelled the end for many neglected and abandoned properties in our area. This particular farm has several other structures in similar condition,though the old farmhouse(also abandoned) looks to live on for the foreseeable future. That is,if the wrecking ball don't speed up the process....
Yellow paint on the inside curve of an ancient crash barrier, almost peeled off. Found at the side of a carpark at Tonsley Park.
We had a strong wind storm a couple of days ago in the area. I took advantage of it to head to the lake shore to look for something just like this!
Hastings jetty completely obscured by a huge wave during Storm Eunice. I had my Canon EOS 5D MkI & ancient EF 80-200mm f/2.8L wrapped up in a plastic bag sealed around the lens filter and eyepiece to protect them otherwise they would have been ruined with all the salt spray in 115kph winds!
when hiking thru Norways fjell youll be impressed by the vast and overwhelming nature, its quietness and peacefullness. So it is surprising to still find remains of the war the Germans brought over the world. On October 30st 1942 this Junkers Ju52 crash landed after having trouble due to weather, killing two of the 8 passengers and crew. A lifespan of man later the remains of the aircraft are still situated on the hillside like a monument to preserve the memory on this event
Thick ropes of water pulse earthward over the lip of the mighty Skógafoss in Southern Iceland. The cataract is 60 meters tall and produces incredible clouds of mist that nurtures the plants clinging to the surrounding walls. The abrupt transition we see here marks the former coastline that now demarcates the coastal lowlands from the highlands; the modern coastline is about 5 km to the south.
Skógafoss is probably one of the most photographed locations in Iceland, due to its easy accessibility (it's right off the main road with ample parking) and its thundering and misty charisma. I'm sure there are thousands of photographs just like this one.... so why contribute another? Thinking about this while looking at other people's photos, I can say one thing for sure: This photo evokes memories of my own particular experience, and the smells and sounds of a day out exploring with the family. I remember the cloud of Fulmars wheeling through the air, and I hear the song in my head as I climbed the trail to the top of the falls (Pearl Jam's 'Given to Fly'). I also marveled at the sheep grazing on distant near-vertical slopes, where one misstep would lead to a final bleating plunge. Other photos, while frequently technically superior or shot with more interesting light, never have quite the same facility.
