I am happy to announce that this image of mine is being used as the backdrop banner for Widmer Brothers Brewing at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO. This is the largest event of its kind in the United States, followed by the Oregon Brewers Festival here in Portland.
I just wanted to take this moment and thank everyone for their support over the last couple years, I really appreciate it.
If I remember correctly this is being printed up at approx. 10' x 8'

Another shot of the Rickey Weisse. This is a great beer, and I actually liked this shot better than the first one. The suds spilling over the top seemed to give a little "life" to the still life. This one is slightly out of focus though, so it has to take a back seat.

This is the back side of the food truck at my favorite brewery. It never leaves and this is its permanent home.
I parked behind the brewery for the first time since they painted the truck so this was the first time I’ve seen the new art. It rained today, so I was able to shoot it with the reflection in the puddle. What luck!

The bright blue and gold cap of a bottle of Spencer "Feierabendbier."
The label translates its name to "The well deserved beer." Hard light from warm late winter sun is shining on the deck, making it feel more like early spring than winter.
This is the 2nd beer that I've tried from my variety pack. Very tasty and refreshing, outside on a sunny, but crisp Sunday afternoon.

So, the thought process went like this, sort of: I consumed one and was happy... Villa had won their match earlier and this had the potential of a great football day.
Thus, a second was consumed as Toronto FC took care of business in The Azteca (Mexico), moving on to the CONCACAF Champions League final.
Then I thought, hey! Is this two things the same? Poof! Into the Magik Troll's ~ Two Of A Kind ~ challenge.
Finally, after expending all that brain power on thinking, I was done man! Like, where is the closest cot I might kip down on? Woo Hoo! Anyone got a bed I can lay my head, call up Fred and say... umm, after, it would be said, "Buddie, where is my bed?"
OF NOTE* It wasn't anything quite so exciting, as I just merely ambled off to bed... no prayers for Fred, checked the Lotto, said, " Hormone" so officious with their verve, it was a gunshot and a vibe.

A session sour by Dogfish Head Brewery. Very refreshing on the beach.
Our annual 4th of July trip to Head of the Meadow was washed out, so we found a break in the weather today to make up for lost time. It was a short trip, but a good one.
The crowd was typical at the lot entrance, but a short walk to the North put us in a spot with ample elbow room.

A delicious oyster stout brewed by our local Cape Cod Beer Brewery! It even comes with a "prize inside!" Well not really inside, but on the can. Cut along the white outlines to make you very own shellfish gauge! Careful with the x-acto knife, especially after finishing off a few of these.!!

It was made public today (May 10) that Sam Adams and Dogfish Head breweries are merging. This saddens me, because Dogfish has always been one of my favorite breweries - independent, creative and delicious!
My all-time favorite beer is the 90-Minute. It's about as perfect as a beer can get. I just PRAY that Sam Adams doesn't change a thing about it.
Dogfish is the "little guy" and is walking away with something like $300 million and stocks.

Spencer India Pale Ale
Spencer is the only Trappist Ale brewed in the United States, and it's brewed right here in Massachusetts! It is brewed by the Trappist Monks of St. Joseph's Abbey in the town of Spencer, not far from Worcester.
They used to brew only ONE type of beer - "Spencer Trappist Ale," and it was very hard to find and VERY expensive. It was OK, but not exceptional enough to warrant the high price tag.
Now they have MANY different recipes and special releases, and the prices are in line with other small batch beers. This India Pale Ale was part of a 4-pack, variety pack - a gift from my wife! It was exceptional! Even better than their original Trappist Ale. I"m looking forward to the others!

The Green Flash: Fearless Fifty!
I bought this up on impulse from Trader Joe's while in there to pick up a 4-pack of Dogfish 90-Minute. I like saisons, and I think Trader Joe's has a decent line of food-related store-brand goods, so why not? Plus, it was only $6 for a big bottle. I've spent MORE on beer that I've had to dump out
For store-brand, this was a very good ale! It was smooth and refreshing, with only hints of the orange and pepper flavors that they advertise on the label.
I'm curious what others think, and if anyone has tried their other store-brand brews. I welcome your feedback!!
