Ceramic 68000 CPU from Freescale Semiconductor. The "HC" indicates a CMOS process, which Motorola introduced for the 68K line in 1985. The RC12 unit can run at up to 12.5MHz.

After moving, Alissa plugged in her computer, and the power supply started sparking and died. I took one out of a spare case, plugged it in her computer, and it worked fine.

 

Made me very happy not to have to spend much time on that.
