The pinkish color is actually reflection of the outside red color through the roof vents. This can be seen in my previous photo showing the stream and bridge.

During one of my watercolor classes, the instructor gave each student the same image to capture. It took much thought and planning to figure out how to reproduce the same scene.

The Henry or Burt Covered Bridge is a 127 foot town lattice truss. It crosses the Waloomsac River in West Bennington Vermont.

The Chiselville Covered Bridge is a covered bridge over the Roaring Branch of the Batten Kill in Sunderland, Vermont.[1] It bears a sign reading "One Dollar Fine for Driving Faster Than a Walk on This Bridge."

I grew up in Bucks County which is very proud of its Covered Bridges and I suppose as a kid I assumed they were special because it was something rare. You can imagine my surprise when I moved to a different county only to find more covered bridges. However, it wasn't until I bumped into this one that I began shooting them. That being said it's hard to argue the teachings of childhood so naturally I feel like a traitor whenever I shoot a covered bridge in another county. It's a funny old world isn't it?
