I watched the March for Our Life coverage on CNN & MSNBC and was deeply touched by the passion and eloquence of these teenagers, and I applaud the performers like Lyn-Manuel Miranda who attended the D.C. rally in support of these young people.
As with many peoples' marches, it may take a while for change to happen, but the 18-year-olds in these nationwide rallies WILL be voting in November, and those legislators who have benefited from the largesse of the NRA and gun manufacturers might well start counting their last days in office. Good for these young people, who are shining their light for the world.

On TV, I saw this poster from the Washington, D.C., march and photoshopped one of the copies that I found of the original anti-Vietnam War poster and changed "War is..." to "AR-15s are..."

Obama tweeted: Obama also tweeted his support for the demonstrations, writing, "Michelle and I are so inspired by all the young people who made today's marches happen. Keep at it. You're leading us forward. Nothing can stand in the way of millions of voices calling for change."
The current "president"? Silence.
EDIT: On Facebook, some have mentioned that the original poster was created by Sister Corita. Although she indeed was a nun who was a graphic artist and activist, it was Lorraine Schneider who designed the original "War Is Not Healthy..." poster:

During the wedding photo coverage of Blandine & Olivier, early October.
They were 2 sublime wedding cars.
I had the chance to go with bride to the town hall in the DB4.... An unforgettable moment.
To be honest I was tough to stay focused on photography when you are in such a car and I had some "away moments" listening to the engine & enjoying accelerations. ^_^

About Ralph Breaks The Internet
In “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” video-game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and best friend Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) leave the comforts of Litwak’s arcade in an attempt to save her game, Sugar Rush. Their quest takes them to the vast, uncharted world of the internet where they rely on the citizens of the internet—the Netizens—to help navigate their way. Lending a virtual hand are Yesss (voice of Taraji P. Henson), the head algorithm and the heart and soul of the trend-making site “BuzzzTube,” and Shank (voice of Gal Gadot), a tough-as-nails driver from a gritty online auto-racing game called Slaughter Race, a place Vanellope wholeheartedly embraces—so much so that Ralph worries he may lose the only friend he’s ever had. Directed by Rich Moore (“Zootopia,” “Wreck-It Ralph”) and Phil Johnston (co-writer “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Zootopia,” writer, “Cedar Rapids”), and produced by Clark Spencer (“Zootopia,” “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Bolt,” “Lilo & Stitch”), “Ralph Breaks the Internet” hits theaters on Nov. 21, 2018.

This year I had the opportunity to visit the smaller Brickslopes Convention in Utah. To avoid inundating my gallery with shots from it (as I did in 2014 before missing the 2015 one), I've put them all in my Brickshelf gallery. The coverage isn't complete, but I got pictures of many of the fantastic creations there. There was also a building pit in the center for kids to play around in and booths off to the side, one of which was a "Minifig Me" caricature booth that my brothers waited in line for two and a half hours to do. I just got a cool print of Zane.

Jackson likes to hide under the top flap of my bag. He isn't doing such a great job of hiding here, though.
We winged this. It's not "perfect" by any means, but it made this Mama smile. And reminded me...
Sometimes YOU gotta make your own sunshine!
The world isn't always the way we'd like it to be, but if we lose our sense of humor and our zest for life, she definitely goes down.

Transit of Venus 2004 (complete coverage)
Credit: Giuseppe Donatiello
On June 8, 2004, a rare transit of Venus (over the solar disk) was observable.
It followed the one which occurred on 6 December 1882 and was the first of a pair with a repeat on 6 June 2012.
The entire transit was visible from Europe, parts of Asia and Africa. The beginning from East Asia and Australia. The end in the western region of Africa, from eastern North America and much of South America. The transit was not visible to the rest of the world.
….these wildflower/plants just started coming up in the woods around where I live. Soon they'll show their flowers.

Although the wall art says “frozen foods,” the actual wall units hold cheese, yogurt, cookies, beer, etc. Frozen foods are really in upright coolers behind you (from the vantage of this photo, anyway).
