What a gorgeous drive to my son's house yesterday. Everything was covered in fresh white snow. I couldn't believe that it stayed on the trees all day long and if we hadn't been babysitting it would have been an awesome day to get out for more photos. This is a walking trail that crosses the main road. I am not sure why there were car tracks on it and I hope someone plows it to make it more "walkable".

The Nevins Covered Bridge crosses Little Raccoon Creek. It is the last of the historical covered bridges to be built in Parke County.

This bridge was originally located northwest of Marshall, Indiana. It was relocated to Billie Creek Village in 1979. Unlike most of the covered bridges in Parke County, this bridge is named after the Beeson family who lived nearby (most are named after the the town they are located in or the river they cross.). This bridge also survived two different arson attempts in 1979 before it was relocated.

Also note this bridge does not have the famous words "Cross this bridge at a walk" as most other covered bridges in Parke County. This is most likely due to it being located on private property and not passable by vehicular traffic.

Badlands National Park, SD

In Woodstock, VT. Cars can drive across this bridge so I was a little worried about standing in the middle of the road taking this. A photographer has to do what they have to do. Happy Saturday to you all!!

Historic covered bridge near St. Louis, MO.

The Kingsbury Covered Bridge in South Randolph, VT, is one of about 100 covered bridges in Vermont.

Built in 1826, a 189 foot long timber-framed covered bridge crosses the Ottauquechee River in the Taftsville village of Woodstock, Vermont . It is probably one of the most photograph covered bridges in the state.
