If there's one place that consistently takes my breath away, it'd be Cley, of course. This was a difficult shot because I was shooting into the sun. The bench looks very grand. It has a fabulous view over the marshes.

Leafhopper (family Cicadellidae)
The first of this species I have seen this year. About 3 mm in length.
A RAAF plane took off in the shared runway with our QANTAS flight in Newcastle Airport. It looks just like a collision from this angle.
An arty take on the 8.53am Redcar - Fiddlers Ferry Power Station (6M17) loaded coal as it passes through York station.
Keep it quiet but Freightliner Shed 66551 was just tagging along for the ride.......

View of the Fire Wave at sunset, at the Valley of Fire state park in Nevada, USA. The stripped sandstone formation was eroded from wind and water over the course of the last 150 million years. The colors come from the oxidation of iron and manganese contained in the rock (red/pink stripes) and bleaching from millennia of water exposure (white stripes).

Those who know the way I play golf would expect a round with me to be colourful. My attitude is all or nothing which almost always results in a rather poor score. Occasionally it can also result in the use of some colourful language as well.
Thankfully the nature of my play during todays round of golf wasn't the only colourful aspect of the game. There were superb displays of fly agaric mushrooms to be found throughout the course. This particular one must have been nine inches in diameter.
