I've seen this done before and always wanted to try it. I thought it was fitting since they're both photographers.

Those are real reflections in the lenses. No photoshoppery involved.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to shoot two sessions in one go; one was a quick engagement shoot for my cousin Jessie and her fiancé, Jeff.

The other was a family session with Jessie, Jeff and her son.

Nice to be able to do the two sessions at once and amazing that we had such a nice day for the photos.

Maternity session. This session was quite special as it was my first maternity one and it was quite challenging. The model is laying down (believe it or not in her 9th month of pregnancy) while the husband is just throwing leaves in the air and while they fall down I try to capture the moment. The picture has been taken with a prime lenses 85mm f1.8G hand held and with natural light. I love winter because of the variety of colours nature offers and how the dried leaves look. Let's all cheer for Goretti and Marc and that everything goes fine with they baby boy Asier.

A sneak peek of one of the pictures I took this afternoon of a lovely couple. Hopefully they will be happy with the result. It was quite foggy and I don't know why. That's the reason the background is so blown out. The lenses helped a bit but this haze was already there. Maybe I should try the new dehaze tool from Photoshop, what do you think?

Lovely Sherie and friendly Nick’s beach wedding was perfect. To take full advantage of sunset glow, the ceremony was scheduled at around golden hour. And by the time we did their couple session, the sun was casting the orange glow on everything. The vanishing point toward the Redondo Beach Pier and the marina was quite a backdrop to work with. It was as lovely as these love birds.

Lovely Sherie and friendly Nick were not a young couple in their 20s and 30s to walk down the aisle. At Redondo Beach the couple joined in matrimony surrounded by their friends and families while their friend pastor Mike was officiating the ceremony. They were very much in love and it was a beautiful reminder that one can find love regardless of his/her age.

Before moving to a venue where the wedding reception was being held, we had the newly wed Robert and Natasha posed at this lovely walkway decorated with white flowers in front of the church. They looked so adorable. It was very nice to capture a moment where both the bride and groom looked so happy. All the best to the newly wed.

For their couple session, Sarah and Magdiel wanted to shoot at the old train station, which is a fantastic location to shoot such occasions. This old station had its charm with the long stretch of columns, which, with the broad daylight that we had, helped me create an excellent depth of field. As beautiful as she looked and as snappy as he looked while standing by her side, this lovely newly married looked perfect. And I couldn’t be more happier to be part of their happiest day.

A wedding on a rainy day can be a disappointment. But Dylan and Meganâs wedding wasnât! What a beautiful day! So many guests showed up to celebrate their first day as a husband and a wife! The South Coast Botanical Garden was a perfect place for the occasion, and the muddy trails and the soggy grass didnât stop everyone to enjoy the day! What a lovely couple! And their smiles didnât let the parade be rained on!
