Just taken delivery of a flash diffuser (I just can't stand the idea of a flash drowning out an image) and have been playing around with it a bit - this is one of my first photographs.
This one is done with the amber cone - you have to set your camera to tungsten; pretty neat if you ask me.
Buying this kit (it's called the Lambecy Flash Diffuser) from www.extremeshop.co.za was a quick and easy affair, and rang in at 1/3 of the price it would have cost me to bring it in via the likes of wantitall.co.za. I couldn't find these things in local shops.

Many moons ago, I did some macro shots of Alex's cars..... he tended to look after his stuff. Wonder where they are now, since they are no longer "toys" - but collectibles. Really.

Pure stress - clear evidence that parental alienation syndrome had kicked in.
The poor guy.
Parental alienation is a set of strategies that a parent uses to foster a child's rejection of the other parent. Parental alienation syndrome develops in children who come to hate, fear, and reject the targeted parent as someone unworthy of having a relationship with them.
Explaining to him that the mouse he saw was not a mouse, but a hamster.
"It's not a monster, dad! It's a mouse!"
