This is a drainage channel, with an extra flash behind Sophie. Thanks to Matt, he spotted the location from above. So we did a run in the morning to explore the location and a shoot in the afternoon.

A wall of dark volcanic rock. A brief stop between setups. Sophie caught in a shaft of light that made the scene feel carved rather than photographed. There was nothing complicated about it. Just instinct, texture, and the kind of light you do not argue with.

Lanzarote at night feels like a film you half remember.
One streetlamp. A long line of smaller ones.
The ground is slick and shining, like it is keeping notes.

I took a break from my main project (I'll keep it in secret for now) and was just googling aroung looking for some new inspiration. And then I found this!!! What you see here was not the attempt to copy it, I just took the initial frame idea and some interesting details from there and completely changed the proportions. Buiding this took almost all the time I've reserved for sleep))

Sophia on Lanzarote earlier this spring. We found this abandoned complex with its fading graffiti walls — a perfect match for her bright top. The wind was relentless that day, constantly fighting our flashes, but it added this wild energy to the frame.
