This photograph was taken last night from Helix Bridge looking towards the The Float @ Marina Bay (in the foreground) and Central Business District (CBD). The performance stage and associated lattice structures at The Float have been erected for National Day Parade on 9th August. It was a breezy evening, with cloud colours contrasting with those from lit buildings in the CBD and Esplanade Theatres (with their spiky rooftops) in the Bay.
Best wishes for the new week.
“Our lives at times seem a study in contrast… love & hate, birth & death, right & wrong… everything seen in absolutes of black & white.
Too often we are not aware that it is the shades of grey that add depth & meaning to the starkness of those extremes.”
– Ansel Adams

Madre, esta noche se nos muere un año;
todos estos señores tienen su madre cerca,
y al lado mío mi tristeza muda
tiene el dolor de una muchacha muerta……

Mère, cette Nuit une année se meurt ;
tous ces Messiers ont leur mère à côté d’eux,
moi, je n’ai que ma tristesse muette
qui a la douleur d’une jeune fille morte…
