Morning Fog Rising
Back from a mini weekend vacation that allowed me to do some photo work. I learned not to let a scene go un-photographed. While heading north I turned around and thankfully the fog stayed long enough for me to capture this beautiful scene an hour into my journey. A lot of great photos captured on this trip and friends seen again. Hope you have a great week. Ry
The sun rises over an Idaho Palouse barn in winter surrounded by snow. Thank you to Dene and Pat for visiting. We were able to capture many wonder photos.
Forced myself out of bed early on Sunday and headed over to the Peak District before sunrise.
So glad I made the effort as I was greeted by the most beautiful pastel skies and incredible rolling fog over the hills and valleys.
The original plan was to climb up Mam Tor for the sunrise but when I got there I saw this area across to the east and headed along the great ridge that way.
This is a 7 shot panorama using my vintage Carl Zeiss Contax G 90mm lens, a beautiful little piece of engineering it is :)
The full size shot is really something, you can zoom right in on the little sheep on the hills, this is a much smaller version unfortunately, but hop it comes out ok on here.
I'll probably make some smaller crops from this shot as there are some great little details in it :)
One of my favourite shots this year, just because of how amazing the morning was :)
Winter's last light shines onto a red barn at sunset. Clouds we’re passing overhead causing the shadows to fall onto the lower barn and fence. Just before the whole seen went into shadow I took the photo.
Captured just before the warm up and rain. Thankfully the roads were cleared. I only had a an hour to get my photos before the next snow storm arrived two hours later. A completely snow covered Palouse is a sight to see.
Palouse, Washington. With morning fog lifting allowing sunlight to dance across the scene pigeons fly around their red barn surrounded by fall colors.
