Macro Mondays - Intended Contact

the Hydrangeas are starting to bloom and this butterfly looks like he's already checking out the best buds 😉 😉 He sat like that for several minutes and I left after this shot as I didn't want to disturb the meditation 😄☀️

It had just finished raining slightly. I was hidden in the grass hoping the grebes would come closer. When they did it was a magical hour. Here the grebe trying to find what was making the clicking noise.

A really close-up portrait of a male mallard. I was lucky to catch him when he made eye contact with me.

If you'd like to see more of my images, go to schockenphotography.com. I have many more images of eagles and other raptors as well as owls, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, songbirds and mammals and I have a full section on birds in flight which is my specialty.

For a brief moment the Northern Hawk Owl stared in my direction giving me full eye contact.

A black morph Grey Squirrel sitting atop a fence post makes eye contact with me just as I took this image!

The Sword-billed Hummingbird is a charismatic species from Andean South America. It is found from Venezuela and Colombia in the north to Bolivia in the south. The species belongs to a monotypic genus, Ensifera, and is quite different from all other hummingbirds; metallic green and bronzed overall, with a black bill that is slightly upcurved and longer than the body length. This is the only bird species with a bill length that exceeds the body length. When seen perched, the species usually holds its bill quite upright, presumably because of balance issues stemming from this long and relatively heavy structure.

For me one of the most amazing hummingbirds of Ecuador! Taken at the amazing Zuro Loma Reserve.

For the theme "Glaze" - Macro Mondays", HMM to everyone.

One of the wallabies that live on my property. This is the male of a small family group that seem to live in the bush behind our cabin. He was watching me carefully while mum and joey were happily munching on the grass.

do you like me to make eye contact?

or do you like my profile better?

how's my hair? good I hope?

it's a nice day isn't it?

Look closely...there's a white-tailed deer in there somewhere. :-)

Feel free to contact Francois Humburg or Victoire Sire in Second Life to know more about this project or if you are interested to support/sponsor us !

Looking for a sim for build !

- What is the project?

Tall Tales of Azeroth is a fully immersive roleplaying experience project of Warcraft in Second Life. We've been looking for years to offer a role-play experience modeled after our favorite MMORPG, World of Warcraft, but with the possibilities of Second Life. We offer you the chance to roleplay and immerse yourself in the world of Azeroth. Choose your own story with us.

- Who are we?

Tall Tales of Azeroth is a non-profit sim project that is run by a volunteer team of friends that loves the world of Warcraft.

- When will we be able to join the roleplay?

We don't know that yet! We're currently looking for sponsors and support to open our doors and give your roleplay imagination free rein.

Tall Tales of Azeroth is an independent fan project and is not endorsed or supported directly or indirectly by Blizzard Entertainment, or any of the official World of Warcraft / Warcraft trademark/right holders.

Macro Mondays - Intended Contact

"Thank you very much for all your faves"

A black morph Grey Squirrel in our Empress tree.

"Contact has been established..... and the alien-spaceship called "Iceflower" is preparing for landing....."

Update: it landed!! Here you can see the side view .

This time I folded the 'Starflower' from glassine and on a bigger grid 1:32, so I had more space left at the edges to invent this origami "Spaceship".

Hexagon about 15cm, finished model about 9cm.

I like to fold with different kind of paper and with different colors. The textures and the color inspire me in creating the model, but also finding the name and sometimes a little story ;-)

Have a nice day ;-))
